Am Dienstag, den 16. Juni 2020 fand das Webinar „Signals2Trust - Webinar zur Verlässlichkeit und Robustheit von satellitenbasierten Positions- und Zeitdaten" statt.
Gefälschte, verzerrte oder schlecht verfügbare Positions- und Zeitdaten stellen eine große Herausforderung bei der Anwendung von Satellitendaten in prozess- und sicherheitskritischen Bereichen dar. Dies betrifft beispielsweise Anwendungen wie autonomes Fahren, die Vermessung, die Abrechnung von Diensten wie Schneeräumung oder die Zeitsynchronisierung von Energie- und Telekommunikationsnetzen.
Galileo, das europäische Satellitennavigationssystem, bietet robustere und verlässlichere Informationen als das amerikanische GPS oder das russische GLONASS.
Zielsetzung dieses Webinars war es herauszuarbeiten, warum robuste und verlässliche globale Navigationssatellitensysteme (GNSS) wichtig sind und was wir von Galileo in den kommenden Jahren erwarten können. Es richtet sich an alle, die GNSS verwenden oder GNSS-basierte Dienste anbieten.

New2Space Workshop, 17.02.2020 in Vienna

A workshop series for those wanting to make space part of their business.

On February 17th 2020 the second edition of the New2Space Workshop took place in Vienna. The workshop benefited from high level presentations introducing the use of Navigation- and Earth Observation Data (by Dr. Berglez OHB digital solutions and Prof. Wagner TU Vienna). Funding opportunities were presented from the Austrian (by FFG) and the international (Brimatech) perspective and completed by an introduction of the European Space Infrastructure (BMK). Incubation opportunities were presented by the ESA BIC and a successful startup (Parkbob) showed how Space Data can be translated into a successful Business Model.

New2Space Workshop, 25.11.2019 in Graz

A workshop series for those wanting to make space part of their business.

More than 50 Space Newcomers participated in the New2Space Workshop organized by Brimatech, Austria’s ESA contact point for space interested SMEs. The event was hosted by ESA Business Incubation Center (BIC) Austria @Science Park Graz, offering support to space-related start-ups. Well-known experts on GNSS and Earth Observation provided insights into the technologies, challenges & opportunities and their applications. National and international funding opportunities in the space arena with special focus on ESA were presented.
